Ar dtús cuireadh sraith staidéar agus réamhlíníochtaí i gcrích ar na portaigh seo sular cruthaíodh na pictiúir mhórscála i mo stiúideo i mBaile na nGallóglach. Cosúil leis na tailte portaigh bhain mé úsáid as an modh chun sraitheanna a thógáil. Déanann na sraitheanna péinteanna, dúigh, gualaigh, graifít, uigeachta agus céir chomh maith le deannach móna, plandaí triomaithe agus síolta ón timpeallacht nádúrtha na saothair ealaíne seo.

Boglands is a series of 14 large scale paintings capturing the environment and nature of these parts of our landscapes.

Initially a series of studies and preliminary drawings were completed on these boglands before the large scale painting’s were created at my studio in Milford. Like the boglands I used the method of building up multi-layers. These layers of paints, inks, charcoal, graphite, texture and wax as well as turf dust, dried plants and seeds from the natural environment make these artworks.
